Carbon Sustainability Strategy

Medicareplus is going green! We have recently set out our Carbon Reduction Plan with the goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. We’ve done a deep dive into our current carbon emissions, looking at direct, indirect, and other factors to calculate our Total Baseline Emissions. With this in place, we have created an actionable, step-by-step plan to bring our carbon emissions down.

Steps that have already been taken or are underway include:

• Changed lighting to LED
• Completed putting a process in place for cardboard recycling

With further measures, such as switching packaging to more sustainable materials being implemented in the near future, our projections indicate that by 2032, we will have achieved a reduction of 18.5% in our carbon emissions.
